Jordan’s Mining and Extraction Sector Growth, Competitiveness, and Sustainability Diagnostic Study

Sensitive

This report presents the results of a diagnostic study of the mining sector in Jordan. The purpose of the study is twofold: to evaluate the competitiveness and long-term sustainability of the mining sector in Jordan, and to identify alignment with UK policies and priorities. The findings could guide the identification of potential trade and development cooperation between Jordan and the UK.The study makes a distinction between existing mining (extraction) activities that have realisable growth potential in the short term, and nascent mining programmes that require time to develop and scale up.

CLEAN Helpdesk newsletter | Supporting GEDSI integration

Public

While Climate, Environment and Nature (CEN) remains the CLEAN Helpdesk’s core technical assistance offer, we recognise the importance of embedding GEDSI through our work. We understand that for action on CEN to be effective and sustainable, it must also be accessible, inclusive, and empowering. In this edition, we share insights into how we are mainstreaming GEDSI through our technical assistance requests and our programming.

A review of the PSNP documentation with regard to the monitoring, evaluation and reporting of climate benefits from the ICF perspective

Sensitive

The Public Safety Net Programme (PSNP) is a key component of the Ethiopian Government’s Food Security Programme, an essential feature of the country’s food security investment strategy for chronically food-insecure woredas. The development objective of the PSNP 5 is to contribute to reducing household vulnerability and improving resilience to shocks. Since its inception, the PSNP has passed through four phases, entering its fifth phase in mid-2021.1 The phases have been designed for the gradual expansion of the programme’s activities.
